World Rainforest Day is June 22

#worldrainforestday2026

In collaboration with other organizations around the world who honor rainforests as much as we do, I’d like to remind you of the archive on this site, taking you back to 2008 while preparing to meet our first future project partners in Brazil. From its humble beginnings, it grew into www.igivetrees.org, which you can still visit, even though the project itself has closed books.

This is a day that unites organizations, activists, and everyday people to celebrate rainforests and advance conservation. So perhaps you’ll enjoy looking through some of the old posts and videos on this site to learn about our involvement with Rainforest restoration in Brazil that began in 2009.

Rainforests sustain life, shape climate, and carry deep cultural and Indigenous wisdom. Protecting rainforests is more than conserving land far away—it’s safeguarding something within ourselves. Every choice ripples outward, connecting our inner forest to the world’s forests and helping heal both people and the planet.
