This is a translation of the letter I received from the children of Cunha, who received our gift of 1,000 trees. It is read aloud in this video, by Marcelo Michaelson, who helped me envision my project when I was last in Brazil, two years ago.

While our first 1,000 trees given to the area were a good gesture, in order to make a true impact, we need to give hundreds of thousands more trees for reforestation in this area, as soon as possible.
