Some of our tree sponsors were homeschoolers from Los Angeles, and one of our Cunha recipients is a homeschooler as well. She helped her father tag the trees for sun or shade, and will participate in the planting of the trees at the Cunha Eco Villa, where people come to learn about permaculture and reforestation. There, they are surrounded by patches of pristine forest, clear cuts, and spontaneously regenerated areas. We hope to create a corridor for the birds and wildlife to return.
