
Yesterday we held the first Pachamama, Awakening the Dreamer, Symposium in Guaratingueta, Brazil. It was attended by two members of the Nativas Association who are working in partnership with Rainforest ECO, and are taking on the mission of spreading the vital information to their community, in Portuguese.
We persisted beyond limitations of computers and software and language, moving straight to the heart of what we can and will do together, to turn the tide of current events.
And today, we transport 1,000 rainforest trees to their planting sites as our committed action…

Yesterday I visited the seed collector for the Nativas Association, and was able to see the setting and the dedication of this man and his family, to collecting the native species seeds sustainably. The few sacks of seeds below were a fraction of what we brought back to the Co-op office, for planting by the nurseries next week. It’s time to start a new cycle of hope…

Despite a holiday weekend, my partners from Viveiro Bom Jardin are working with me on translations of documents (thank God for Google Translate!) to gain sponsorship for the increase of our reach, next year. These gentle men have taken me to 7 of the 13 nurseries in the association this last week. Now, from plants to paper, we make our trail to the future of a renewed Mata Atlantica…
